Does anyone know how to import hex codes (as shown below) into the browser tab of the MX-810 Wizard? I tried simply pasting the code into the hex editor window and then using the "Drag" button to move the result into the action window for the selected key. Unfortunately, this did not seem to work.

I did not get any documentation on the browser tab of the MX-810 Wizard, and the Help button on the browser tab seems to be disabled (nothing pops up when I click on it).

Thanks.

You need to make sure you are in the device/activity (double click the icon) and have selected the correct button. If you are not in a device/activity with a button selected, you can't drag the code.

dsp81, I believe I had the proper activity and button selected before I started dragging the hex code from the Hex Editor. After I dragged the result into the "Action list" window, the content of that window said "Hex Data" (instead of the usual "Learned data"). So I thought I did it right. But the resulting IR code when the button was pressed on the remote (after downloading) did not perform the expected function.

In fact, if I go back now and re-select that activity and button in the browser, it still says "Hex Data" in the "Action list" window. Maybe the hex code was not recognized by the Yamaha reciever (or it did some other non-obvious function).

Thanks again for your help.

The 810 editor says Hex Data. You correctly added the Hex, I would guess it probably just isn't the right data for your reciever.

dsp81, thanks for your help. I tried a different hex code, and it seemed to work OK. I guess the first code I was trying must not have been for my receiver.

You would think that URC would supply some documentation on the browser with the remote ;-(

Thanks again.

Yes. Open the Browser, click on Browse in the lower left corner. Open the CCF file. Locate the button you want in the Imported Tree View and Imported Panel View. Drag the IR code from the Imported Action List to the MX-810 Action List.

Prior to copying the IR, you need to make sure you have properly selected the button you wish to apply the IR to.
