I just got a Samsung DVD HD-860 (upscaling DVD player) and for some reason I cannot "learn" the play, fast forward, skip stop, etc buttons? Does anyone know why? And how to get around it. I love this remote, but this is very frustrating.

I even have IRclone-MX and cannot get around it.

HELP!!!!!!!

(any help will be greatly appreciated)

There might be a punch through enabled on the transport keys in that device, try punching through the transport keys to and from that device.

Actually in IRClone-MX the keys had a small red L on the transport keys (FF, FR,Play, Stop, etc) and I removed those thinking that they were locked or something. Loaded up a new m5 file and tried that. No cigar as they say :( Still no transport functions.

Right now I do not have any tape transport type of device (VCR, etc) in my system that I can test to see what is going on. Anybody out there have a Samsung already programed into a MX-500?? That might help :) I uploaded the Samsung DVD player file in downloads, but that doesn't work. It will power on the DVD player, but that is all. How do I "punch" thru (to and from)??? Just as a test.

I have trouble with the Samsung DVD codes as well. I've learned them over and over and they work whenever they want whether it's IR or RF.
