Is there a way to connect a MRF-250 to a Buffalo/Xantec connecting block? I want to have two controls over my gear, one via URC because of its simplicity and another via Cinemar Online's MainLobby (more complex and hardware dependent solution). The main reason for having two controls, I am frequently adjusting my MainLobby settings and nothing damages the WAF (wife acceptance factor, for those who don't know) more than changing remote settings. The MainLobby solution will use multiple connecting blocks interconnected via Cat5 and controlled from a PC with touchscreens. I need a backup solution, easy to operate, in case the MainLobby PC or touchscreens are unavailable. Obviously URC is the choice here. I want to control six devices via the MRF-250 in a closet but I also need to be able to control them through the connecting block, i.e. MainLobby. I also plan on cetralizing some of my equipment in a network closet so it will be necessary for all IR/RF commands to be on the same network. Is this possible?

Also, I need to feed an IR signal about 40 feet to a projector and I only have an extra set of RCA's available for the job. Can I take a couple of RCA adapters and splice them to a 2.5mm plug for the MRF-250 and on the other side, splice a 3.5mm plug, use a standard 3.5mm emitter to the projector and it work?
