OK, I spent the money for descent components, cables, cabinet, etc. for My Home Theater system, and a MX-3000 / MRF-300 to control everything. Now I'm clueless where to start on the programming. I thought I'd start by loading the updates from Universal Remotes, but their site said I already had a later version... how can that be? I began exploring the MX-3000 editor, looking for my components... TV - not listed, Receiver - not listed. I'd like to perform the programming myself, but I need some "encouragement". Here's a list of my components:

Mitsubishi WD-62628
Yamaha RX-V2600
Yamaha DVD-S2500
Yamaha CDR-DH-1500
iPod 40GB Video
Samsung DVD-VR325
DirecTV HD-DVR
Monster HTS5100MKII
Saphire / Polk Audio (5.1)
Boston Acoustics (Zone-2)

I have a complete cable map if it would help.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Start by reading thoroughly all of the manuals. You get to them via the help menu. Next go to the files section of this site and grab five or six of the "Complete System" files that match your system configuration and that you like. go through them and figure out what their doing. It's a great place to start.
