program MX-850 to control existing UHF sat box

I'm trying to control this echostar box to the mx-850 remote, but i'm having problem because the only remote can control this is the original remote. which is control by UHF signal. i tried to look through the setting and i can't seem to find any changes.i see an IR sensor in front of the unit, there has to be a way. the model is 6000u made from echostar. can any please save me from this head ache.

The 6000 codes in the IR database of the MX-850 software should work. Have you tried them? Also, you may have to remove the UHF antenna from the back of the 6000.
