Hi,

I am a Newbie and have just purchased an MX-850 on eBay, downloaded all the software and manuals, and have actually read them. I am getting the following error when I try to download any configuration to the MX-850:

Invalid Answer - Error: Unknown Protocol [DLTR-6]

Other hopefully relevant facts:

This occurs at the 55% mark in the progress bar.
I am using a Laptop running XP, connected with the serial cable
Firmware version 1.04
Universal version 1.79
I called URC tech support and they said it might be a conflict with some virus protection software. I have turned everythig off.
I have pulled the batteries and tried again.
I have tried it on another computer.
When I put the batteries in and press any button on the remote, it goes through a self diagnostic, all are good except RAM, which FAILS.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you checked your port settings? That can also cause such an issue.
