Anyone know where I can get a replacement battery for an MX-950? Seems that I can barely get an evenings use per recharge now. Thanks.

Yep, Pilgram's got the right answer. Luckily URC used a standard battery for the 950, and they are available from eBay for less than a dollar (I know, I couldn't believe it either!). That's the beauty of economies of scale.

Sadly, the battery in the 3000 appears to only be used in that device, so getting one of those will require getting it directly from URC. I do hear they are very nice to deal with on it, but I'd rather pay three bucks for one on eBay.

I was having the same problem with my 950. Bought a battery off ebay for .49 cents. $4.95 shipping. I'll let you guys know how it works out...

I did go to a friend's last night to finish an update on a MX-950 with one of the new Sharp 65" sets and noticed that the remote I was working on didn't fit as snugly and make a consistent connection in it's charging cradle.

I looked at the contacts on both the remote and cradle, seemed fine, no piece of gum (couple of kids around) stuck in the cradle. Took a look at the battery cover of the remote and noticed that it bulged out a little on the sides with the battery installed. I removed the battery, cover fit flush and got a consistent connection onto the cradle with the remote.

Gentleman had an aftermarket battery in the unit so am interested in hearing how your batteries fit.
