Folks:
I recently sent an email to Philips blasting them about my overall dissatisfaction with the iPronto product in it's current state. Here is their reply received this morning (5/8/3):
------------
Dear Dave,
Thanks for your note. We fully understand your comments, and are as anxious as you are to improve things. Not only have we added people to the team, but we are also asking them to put in much of their free time to solve the issues that we are still experiencing.
It is our full intent and commitment to support a mature and valuable product and platform with iPronto, which will allow consumers to truly experience integrated home control at a more affordable price point, and which will allow custom installers to deliver better systems. Because of the innovative nature of this product, technology is not always mature and issues arrise. We want you to know that we are putting top priority in bringing Quality, Stability and base Functionality to a higher level.
Please be patient a little more... in very few days we will have a new software release for iPronto available, as well as a new version of iProntoEdit. We are currently performing software release testing, and we believe both upgrades answer many of the remarks that have been made and truly are a big step in making the product better.
We want to thank you for the trust you have put in us, and will work hard to live up to your expectations.
best regards,
rein hintzen.
