Harmony 2400 Pro to Equipments IR IN Flasher on the back of unit?

Now that Logitech has made a worthy new hub that uses the 3.5mm connector and has a hub with six ports.

Does this mean you could have use a cable with 3.5mm male ends on each end to go from the Harmony hub to the back of your gear that has IR IN Flasher ports and then you wouldn’t have to run the IR flasher wire to the front of the equipment with the IR eye?
