Greetings all, I just got a One and am attempting to set it up. I have a few questions. Can I set up a WII as an activity? I have a Toshiba 50"HDX82. I cant seem to set the DVD source on the tv to come on when I use the DVD activity, it defaults to the colorstream HD2 source for the tv, which is used for the Watch TV activity. I have been reading these forums for a few days and you're all smarter than me , so I thought I would get some good help here, thanks much, thechief76

For the TV not setting to the correct input when powering on for your watch DVD activity, increase the power on delay for your TV. You can check this out by turning on your TV with the original remote and counting the sec until it is ready to accept input commands. Each sec counts as 1000ms.

Devices> TV> Settings> Adjust Power Settings is - reasonably enough! - the place to look for the power-on delay. That deals with the problem if it arises only when turning on the TV. If it happens when changing from one Activity to another you need to look at the way you set the inputs. With a Toshiba that should be method 2 even though the software says otherwise. You should be using that anyway so it's worth changing if it's currently different.

I hope you meant 6000 ms (6 seconds). If that didn't fix it then the command is configured incorrectly. Check the input switching commands in Device mode and make sure they work manually, then check the input setup to make sure it's using those commands. When it doesn't work, what happens? Nothing? Ends up on a different input?

I havent gotten the source problem figured out and havent had the time to call tech support, but I have read a lot about the One on this site and done a lot of things to my remote. Thanks for all the help and you guys taking time to respond, who knew there was so much to learn about a remote.

rehaz: 8 seconds is a pretty standard time for a power-on delay, but it's not relevant to this one, is it? thechief76: Tosh's are usually no problem with inputs so give us more detail as post #6 for more help.

Yes, the default settings usually need to be changed - my Tosh needs much the same as your Sony.
