I changed the way my direct tv remote that came with my system works. Made it IR instead of RF. Did this for the wife so it does not have to be pointed at the console. Now when I use my Harmony One it will turn the TV on but not the DVR. Is it because of switching the original remote to work as IR. Does this do something to the DVR.

andrew40 are you sure you changed from RF to IR? From what you have stated it seems that it is the other way around. When using RF you do not need to point the remote to the console. If you have in-fact changed from IR to RF then you will not be able to make the Harmony One operate the DVR. It does not do RF.
