I just updated my Watch TV activity last night and realized that the Harmony software moved my soft "Favorite Channels" LCD command to the last page of my LCD commands for that activity.

I spent a good long time configuring the remote's LCD for that activity to get it just the way I wanted with the intrusion of the Favorite Channels soft key butting in as the first (upper left) command. I ultimately like the Favorite Channels option and where it is placed. I wish they offered a Media Key in the same spot for my CD changer. However, now the Harmony software has moved it and left me with a twitchy thumb everytime I go to check my favorite channels. This strikes me extremely rude and unintuitive for 2 reasons: first I have to drill down an extra page to get to my favorite channels command, and second, I was used to the command where it was.

I've sent an email to Harmony support on the subject. At this point I'm second guessing my purchase of this remote. The industrial design is nice- attractive, button layout intuitive- but I'm at the mercy of Harmony's lousy software. Whomever it is at Harmony/Logitech making these bad software decisions should take notice and consider the product's existing base. I find it ironic that a product named Harmony could strike a decidedly unharmonious chord between its hard- and software.

I'm waiting to see if URC's R70 will have decent reviews. Although first pix make the front bezel appear kinda dated and clunky.

Venting done.

I thought the new software gave you control over the order of the commands on the LCD.

On the 720 the "Favorite Channels" command was always designated to the top left button of the first lcd screen. It doesn't appear in the software when programming the other commands so it took some tweeking to figure out how the remaining 5 commands would fall on that and subsequent pages.
