I have a Yamaha RX-V559 with the YDS-10 ipod dock. For the life of my, I cannot get the remote to control the ipod. It will switch to that activity (i.e. turn the reciever on, switch the input etc.), but I cannot control the ipod.
I would like to be able to: Control the ipod See the menu/etc on the TV (per the YDS-10 dock capability)
Can anyone point me in the direction of resources on the web that will help me get this sorted? OR can you offer advice on how to accomplish this apparently lofty goal?
Thanks

The Yamaha should be able to send metadata to the iPod through the dock, although I am not sure if the iPod data would post on the TV. Look through your Yamaha manual on how to do this, and you might have to use the remote's learning funtion. Harmony may not have programmed the iPod feature of the Yamaha into its database

I have programmed the ipod dock on a couple of different Yamaha amps. I had to learn several of the commands from the original remote. Remeber you must put the original remote in the correct source before learning commands.
