My Panasonic PT-45LC12 TV has the following inputs (in order):
Tuner
Line1
Component1
Component2
RGB

When I set these up, the Activity Wizard insists that Component1 needs a channel number (like a tuner input) which is incorrect. I've tried recreating the TV but have the same problem. Note that these inputs are not the ones listed in the harmony database (which seems to be incorrect).

How do I fix this?

Thanks,
Todd

Sounds like a problem I am having where the Harmony DB is doing something it should not. Do you know what the device is that Harmony wants to use? And what the third input for that device is? I am thinking that even when you overide the list, the wizard is not. You might need to directly exit the XML on this one.

Contact Harmony directly for their help. (be prepared to wait - they are running about 7 days behind at the moment.)

I had a similar problem (Remote insisting on channel number) a while back. here is the response from Harmony Customer service: (I replaced the < with ( etc)

Any input with TV, Tuner, Antenna, Ant or cable in the name is assumed to be a Tuner type input and so when using this input we ask for a channel number. To work around this it is possible to manually modify the XML for an activity and remove the "SetChannel" code. If you would like to do this for your 'Watch TV' activity then follow these instructions:
a) From your Harmony Member home page select the 'Edit this Activity' link next to your 'Watch TV' activity.
b) From the next page select the link 'Modify the XML for this Activity'.
c) Remove the following lines of XML:

(SETUP)
(DEVICENAME)4840(/DEVICENAME)
(OPERATION)SetChannel 3(/OPERATION)
(/SETUP)

(PARAMETER)
(NAME)Channel(/NAME)
(VALUE)3(/VALUE)
(/PARAMETER)

d) Save your changes by clicking the 'Change>' button.
e) Update your Harmony Remote.

I hope this fixes your problem - it worked for me.

Ah ha!

I guess I should have been more specific, my inputs are:
Line1:VCR
Component1:Cable
Component2:DVD

The "cable" was the culprit. I've changed it to "CBox".

Thanks!
