Hello,

I am looking for a remote for my somewhat simple theater setup. The only compication is that I use a pc. It runs DScaler for dvd and tivo processing and uses a MyHD card for hdtv. I cannot find any reference to anyone using a harmony to control these. This is making me lean towards a pronto.

Anyone out there successfully controlling DScaler? MyHD seems trival as it already has a remote that I can learn from.

Thanks,
Matt

I have the original Harmony (475)and have successfully used it to control my HTPC with a MyHD card. I haven't tried DScaler since I don't need it, but with Girder you should be able to handle any windows programs. I know that a lot of people have used girder with DScaler. If you have an IR receiver for the PC your should be able to just choose a component (that has remote codes that don't conflict with your current equipment) from the harmony database and rename it to act as your DScaler codes for Girder.

I hope this wasn't confusing. There may be easier ways to do this. I can tell you that the Harmony was a big hit at my house and the price was certainly easier to live with than the Pronto.
