I have read through many of the threads within this forum and have gotten the feeling that a lot of people love this remote and a few exceptions hated it. My parents have a fairly simple system config. A/V receiver, TV, DVD, VHS, and DSS. Is this remote something that would improve their lives? My dad has a hard time seeing most remotes, especially those that are completely LCD, and my mom wants simple functionality. I think that the combination of both with this remote could be ideal.
Would anyone agree that this is the right remote for my parents application? P.S. How hard is it to do numerical navigaton within DSS, say I want to jump to channel 510?

By getting the new remote SST-768 they should not have any problems at all.
