How do I add my VCR and DVD player controls within the watch tv activity, I read a post here about a adding it as a passthrough device but I dont want the devices to turn on when I watch TV.

I just need access to my video and DVD controls within the control menu of the watch tv activity

Any help would be great

have not done this in a long time, but if you go to "Add activity" you should find "utility" and there you will find the "change button function"

Yeah its not a button I need to change though if you know what I mean, I just need the DVD and VCR to show up in the watch television section of the remote

sorry, misunderstood. I thought you were looking to add VCR controls to your TV section like I did.

If you want all of your devices to show up in Control Mode, you can add this to the Xml for an Activity:
<CONFIGURATOR>
<OPTIONS>
<OPTION>
<NAME>ShowAllDevices</NAME>
<VALUE>True</VALUE>
</OPTION>
</OPTIONS>
</CONFIGURATOR>

Note: if the CONFIGURATOR and OPTIONS tags are already there you don't need to add them again.
