Does anyone know if it is possible to get international (specifically, Australian) TV guides into loaded into the Harmony remote?

Although not a requirement, if I were to buy this remote, it would be nice to be able to be able to use this feature. (Whether or not I actually *would* use it is another question altogether!)

This remote sounds like a great concept, and as it seems with most people in these forums, I like the idea of the numeric buttons on the new model.

I have just purchased a Marantz SR-7200 receiver, which came with a RC7200 (aka RC1200) which I don't particularly like. I don't think the Prontos are for me, and I'm down to the MX-500, Marantz RC2000 MkII, or the Harmony (most probably the new one).

Unfortunately the exchange rate effectively doubles the price of any remote for me :-/

I know how that feels it is about 1.5 times over here.

It used to be that it only worked with the US and Canada, don't know if it changed now. The problem is that they need a contract with a company that has the information.

I guess what I'm also after, is it possible to modify the XML to load up a TV guide? There are quite a number of online guides for Australian TV, and if I can find one that is suitable for a automated conversion process to throw it into Harmony's XML...

don't know. You can try contacting Harmony directly.

just saw this on the FAQ on their site

What conditions apply to the TV listings?

Currently your TV listings are covered by the purchase price of the Harmony Remote, and are available in North America only. Please stay tuned for updates.

As suggested, I have contacted Harmony directly, and although they have responded saying:

> There are no promises for Australian TV listings
> in the near future, however we are open to
> discussions that could allow people to load in
> their own listing data.

So.. am I on my own here, or are there other supporters out there willing existing or potential Harmony users also interested in this type of functionality?
