Okay, so I've read all the responses regarding button response time. I've set the inter-key delay to 0, messed with the number of repeats but it's still nowhere near as fast as my original Media Center remote. Does anyone else notice that the Harmony actually queues up button commands? So if I'm in the guide and I press the directional-down button really fast about 10 times, the harmony can't keep up with me. Instead, it sends all ten commands but only as fast as it can. So if I'm trying to quickly navigate around the various menus it gets all screwed up because it can't keep up with me. The same goes for the volume on my receiver. I don't know, maybe I just have lightning fast fingers, but this seems like a real drawback to me.

Besides inter-key delay and number of repeats, is there anyway to make the harmony transmit the button presses AS I press them instead of queing things up and continuing to transmit long after I'm done presisng buttons?

Can't get much faster than 0ms...perhaps the commands themselves were originally taught by someone who pressed the buttons on the OEM remote for a particularly long time. Try relearning all of the buttons from the original media center remote in RAW mode, and try to tap each button for as short a duration as you can. That might help the situation.

Try reducing the Inter-Device delay instead. Its counter intuitive. The Inter-Key delay applies only to a command that send multiple digits like a SetChannel nnn command.

Also, make sure you download and install the latest firmware. I had this problem at first but I installed the new firmware & adjusted delays and now it works great.

Hi have the same problem on the 880. I've set the delay to zero but if I press one of my pre-programmed buttons to go to, say chan 254, it ticks out the numbers at about 1 second...regardless of the delay setting. If I enter directly into the keypad then it moves at normal speed...somethings not right in my book!

I tried setting the Inter-Device delay to 0 but that didn't help either.

I'll check the firmware when I get home but I'm pretty sure I'm on the latest version.

I may try re-learning some of the commands to see if that helps but since this is happening for all my devices I'm not too optimistic.

I am using the latest firmware version (4) and I'm still seeing the delay.

I'll try giving Logitech a call and see what they say.

I saw they change the Interdelay Key to 0ms , but they might have changed something else we, the users, have no access, because I had tried the interdelay key before.

I don't believe the inter-key delay applies to the favorites. If you type in channel 254 it should be immediate with a 0ms delay, but if you put channel 254 as one of your favorites it will be slow: 2-pause-5-pause-4.

Try re-learning your old remote in RAW mode. It fixed my slowness issues with my TiVo.

I'm pretty sure the inter-key delay applies to the favorites. The IR commands are cued up and sent out as fast as they can be with the given inter-key delay and repeat settings.

The inter-key delay is really the inter-IR Command delay.

Where do you find these "repeat settings" ?
