Last year I purchased a Perfect Flame Grill from Lowes for $550. It looked like a well built grill, and I talked to a sales associate about the grill, and they highly recommend it. So I bought it took it home and placed it on my covered patio. Shortly after I started using it the grill began to rust. All of the fasteners rusted, the burners, grilles, heat deflector bars, etc. It was under warranty from Perfect Flams, so I called their 1-800 number...it was disconnected. Then I called Lowes to get the new number for Perfect Flam...disconnected.
So then I tried to get Lowes to give me an in-store credit for what I paid for the grille. After dealing with several managers, district managers etc, I have found out that Lowes will only return Perfect Flame Grills under the State required 3-day return period. So Lowes wants to wash their hand of me. I called the Lowes District Manager and he explained to me after several phone calls to perfect flam, that they do not offer any parts for their grilles. If they go bad within the first 90-days, then perfect flame will exchange it.
Here's my problem I bought a $550 grill 18 months ago with a 5-year burner warranty, 10- case warranty, and 1 year, igniter/valve warranty. Most of the parts on the entire grille failed within the terms of the warranty. With no parts available to fix the problem under warranty, the warranty is useless.
The District manager called me today to inform me that he has found a 3rd party company that can sell me the parts to fix the grill for $284. I told him this is unacceptable because the damn grille is still under warranty.
Just wanted to vent a little, I have been fighting with Lowes for about 9-months on this with no help and absolutely no service. I want everybody to be aware of the poor service from Lowes, and poor quality from Perfect Flame. I actually had a Weber with no whistles and bells that was 8 years old that I replaced with the Perfect Flams, and the Weber is at my brother-in-laws house, in much much better shape than the Perfect Flame.

Some interesting info here. Read down a few postings and you'll find they're made in China for Lowes. Seems a bit naughty of them washing their hands of it then, but then I'm not fully conversant with US trading standards.
