I can't believe that Sony has not even one DVD player that will support (play) Mp3's!

Anyone know why or if they are planning to? Details?

Thanks

Could it be because Sony owns a record company and views MP3 in disdain? I decided to buy another brand for the very reason that they do not support MP3, even though I have never used MP3 in my life. It is just the principal that I want the freedom to create my own CD's for my own use as I see fit (reminds me of the Betamax case that, ironically, Sony won in the 80's!)

Sony does make 1 car stereo that supports MP3. Model CDX-MP450X. so, it is conceivable that sony's next dvd line may introduce this feature.

When do the 'new' models usually come out?

Right after you buy an 'old' one, of course!

Ha Ha!

Seriously, is there a time that new models are released?

Sonys new DVD players usually come out between April and June starting with the more basic models and progressing higher through the months. I am hoping for a Sony 300 disc progressive changer. Sony usually annouces their dvd players at CES, but I have not heard anything yet. They may be saving them for their Sony only show at the end of February.

I would assume that Sony would put out a 400 disk (not 300) progressive changer, since that's what they sell now.

How about a 400 disc progressive changer that plays MP3's (getting back to the subject)??! :-)
