I have a customer that lacks hearing and has requested that everything in his theater have Closed captioning in his theater.I'm running a Runco Projector DTV 943 and using a Toshiba 5 disc DVD Changer to give me the Audio/Video. I know DVD's have subtittles But the customer has brought it to my attention that some Movies does not have subtittles. This is where the problems comes into play. I have A Closed captioning device that I pass S-video through from my VCR, SAT, and LD through.I had been runing the DVD through the processor with Componet Video and tried to fix the problem by downgrading the video to S-Video and runing it through the CC Decoder as well. However the Decoder is picking up the Copy right protection or something and won't display the video correctly at the top.the video looks to be pulled from the side . Only seems to be a problem with the DVD and nothing else. Have sence wired it back with the Componet video untill I could find a fix. Any thoughts?

Closed Captioning is part of the standard video signal (line 21) that is displayed by the CC decoder in the TV. Subtitling is added as an extra feature to certain DVDs and is displayed from the DVD player.

Also, CC also "shows" some ambiental film "noises" in the screen, like a door closed suddenly (for deaf people). You will see things like this in this screen: "[toc toc] Somebody is here?"

The reason for the post is that He has made me aware some movies(Very few)do not have the subtitles feature.I did not know this.Hince when I try to use the outboard CC devise It picks up the dreeded Copy protection and alters the image.
Is there a black market piece or video scruber/clearifier that I could implement in the system? From what I gather there is not a fail proof way to do so for every application.
