I have had a Q50 for a couple of months now. I like the performance and quality of this unit. Although it runs a little hot and has a random freeze bug (kinda like a layer change freeze). I upgraded the firmware to fix some known issues and also implemented a hack to enable multi-region usage. Well, the extent of my multi-region usage is that I normally view region 1 NTSC disks and I was able to play a region 2 PAL disk ok after the hack.

Sorry for that last requote. I'm running an NZ all regions Q50. like you I have to freeze bug which remained after I upgraded the firmware. Did your hack for the region code also allow you to enable the progressive out for PAL as well as NTSC disks?

Cheers
Andy
