Looking for a few good, reputable websites for buying DVD movies. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I've found the best place to buy DVDs is Best Buy. Especially on the day the movie is released... they're always on sale for like $14 or $15. By the time you pay for shipping and handling, you may have already hit that.

The DVDs I've bought online all were ones I couldn't find at Best Buy. I bought them from Amazon, who were great. But, out of the 6 DVDs I've bought from them, 2 had half of the tab holding the disk broken in half, so the disk was shaking around during shipping, and it seriously scratched up the disk. I would have returned them, but luckily my super-DVD player played them without problems.

Baker I`ve had good luck with 800.com.
Three days it was at my door in perfect condition. Go to DVDPRICESEARCH.com there`s coupons for most of the E sites. Good Luck! Chris

Baker,

I use express.com, great service never had a problem. I preorder my DVD's and have them the day or day after they come out, I have had a few the day before release as well. Prices are good and shipping is resonable. I also use e-bates to get a rebate on evrything I buy from them.

I use express.com and amazon.com. No big complaints.

If you would like to watch some DVD's without buying them, check out www.netflix.com where you can rent an unlimited number of movies per month for a flat fee - there is a limit of 4, 6, or 8, that you can have out at a time depending on the plan you select - I think it is a super service.

Cheers, Jim.

Jim,

They've changed the basic $19.95/mo service to 3-out instead of 4-out. Luckily, those of us who signed up under the 4-out plan haven't been forced to change.

the best deals you can get are on previously viewed dvds at Blockbuster. See if your local blockbuster rents dvds. If they do, they clear out their stock for unbelievalbe prices. A lot of them are 9.99 and some are even lower. I bought blair witch for 6.99. They have a 30 day return policy.

Costco has good prices on dvds also. they had the soprano set for $60.00

For any Canadians reading this, Future Shop is the best place to buy. They are, by far, the cheapest. They have a great selection too. Forget HMV. Way too expensive.

I went to Wal-Mart the other day - not my first choice buying DVDs - but I wanted to watch a particular DVD with the fam while they were at home. Surprize! Wally World didn't have it. Disappointed I went back to work and did a price search on DVDFile.com. The best price came back as Outpost.com. Had never shopped there but had heard of them them. The reason they were the best price was that they feature: Free next day shipping. That was too good to pass up.

Now it gets interesting. This was Tuesday. I placed an order, they told me that as soon as they were shipped I would get the tracking info.

I got an e-mail first thing Wednesday morning - The DVDs were already in SC about 40 mins from my home in the sticks. I had the DVDs Wednesday afternoon!! Twenty-eight hours total from order to player - FREE SHIPPING NEXT DAY totally Rocks!

I've used DVDpricesearch.com as a resource. It tends to find some of the best prices. Ron

As previous response
amazon.com, express.com or dvdboxoffice.com are all good. I believe dvdboxoffice also does not charge for postage.

I've recently discovered http://dvdplanet.com (formerly Ken Crane's) and have ordered a couple of DVDs from them. They have pretty decent prices.
