Just a little plug for a local store in my area. If you live in Raleigh, Durham, Cary or Chapel Hill North Carolina, the best/largest DVD rental selection can be found at Carbonated Video. There are 3 locations in Cary, 1 in Raleigh, 1 in Durham, & 1 in Chapel Hill. Each store currently has 500+ titles which rent for 1-6 days for as little as $2.00/rental. In addition to DVDs, they also rent VHS, PSX, N64, AudioBooks, & LaserDiscs.

If you're in this area, you already know that Blockbuster has (at most) 100 titles, most of which rent for approx. $4........

Seeems like a great local deal. Anyone know of a similiar plan in the Bay Area, CA?

i rent mine on line @ netflix.com. They have 5,300 titles to choose from. They mail 'em to you. You keep them for a week, then throw 'em in the mailbox. The postage is already paid. They even come in their own return envelope. If you want to keep them for an extra week, you only pay 99 cts.. They also have a program where you pay a monthly fee of 19.99, and you get unlimited rentals, the only restriction is that you're only allowed 4 DVDs out at a time. I'm gonna try it out. And no, I don't work for netflix. I just think the selection and convenience(sp?) are well worth the 4.00 rental, or the 19.99 a month. Oh yea, they get to you quick too, within 2 or 3 days. And the shipping time is not part of your seven days. Check it out, I'm glad I did.
