Hi,
Does anyone know of any DVD players that will play MP3 files I burn to a CD?

Well, no DVD or CD player for that matter can play Mp3's of a burned CD-ROM; however, assuming you can decompress those MP3's into WAV's and use the appropriate audio software to burn those wav's to a CD, I'd check the thread below on players that will play CD-R's. I know of no player that will play CD-RW's.

Hope this helps.

I hear there's a under $200 DVD player -- Apex (a no name brand) -- that'll play a CD of MP3 files, assuming they're recorded in the right manner.

Edwin,
Circuit City carries the Apex. Don't know if it will like the CD-Rs though. Grab one and take to a store to try it.

The Apex AD-600A plays MP3's from CD-R and CD-RW media, as well as offering multi-region capabilities. More info at [Link: nerd-out.com]

Thanks All,
I just ordered one. I can't keep connecting my laptop to the TV every time I want to watch the big screen. I hope that there will be a Pronto CCF for the Apex soon. If not, I will post one.

I just bought one. It does play MP3's perfectly with my CD-R and CD-RW disks. It also allows you to disable copy protection so you can tape DVD movies on your VCR. Very nice indeed.

For what it's worth, the salesman at Future Shop told me Apex machines are made by Toshiba.

For what it's worth.......

Heh, and we all know how accurate the average guy at Future Shop is. :-)
