I'm planning to buy a Matsui DVD ('caus it's cheap and has ordinary stereo outputs for my amp) but I haven't seen wether the multiregion hack works for ever more or wether it's limited to x number of changes. Any ideas??
cheers

I have used the region hack well over a hundred times. There is no sign of any restriction.

Cheers TP - looks like it's time for a trip to Curry's. I can't believe they're not advertising the fact that it's multi-region instore - must be some serious politics behind it.....

I was wondering, is there any way to make the Matsui DVD constantly multi-region? And, how much did you pay for the machine down at Curry's? What is hack anyway?

I don't know what you mean by constantly multi-region. But the hack is as follows: 1. empty the tray and close 2. press menu, 9, open/close, 5 3. Press the number of the region you require. My player was £180

The bloke down at Dixon's told me there was a hack that would make the player take any DVD region without having to go through the hack you just described.

Does he mean taking the player apart and getting it chipped. If not, does anyone else know of this constant hack

No, he told me you only had to press some buttons (much like the other hack)

To make the Mastui Player play all regions all the time simply enter the following.....
menu, 9, open/close, 5, It will then ask "select region 1-6",
Now press the 'mute' button.
It will now say "all" and then disappear. Simply exit the menu by pressing the exit button as normal and thats it a region free dvd player is yours.
