Interesting, I'm sure they advertise it will play VCDs.

I had no luck with mine.

I have just bought the matsui dvd 110. Will it play region 1 dvds automatically?? The guy where I bought it from said you need to enter a code into the player (via a special remote control) and it will play all regions. (I live in the UK so it does play region 2)
Does anyone know how true this is, or indeed what the code is??

To select any region, make sure there is no DVD in the tray, then press 'menu' - '9' - 'open/close' - '5' now you can enter the region you require. I've also noticed that the display panel has the markings for VCD and the DVD processor inside the unit is:-
STi OMEGA-DVD
55-1700014-21-02
STi5505AVC-X

OP J700 07JULY99 REV.2
which is capable of playing VCD's but I think they have disabled the function in the BIOS.
