I am slowly building a home theater system. Is there a minimum resolution that I should look for when buying a new TV?

Thanks

Anything that's "new", "big" and "expensive" will do everything you want. DVDs have a total of 480 lines of resolution, though NTSC is a bit higher. Look for at least 500 lines of resolution in a 27". Better and bigger sets will of course do more -- remember that HDTV supports up to 1080!
