Does anyone know if the Toshiba progressive scan DVD players will play CD-R discs. How about the Panasonic? Are there other progressive scan DVD players out there? How about with DVD audio as well ;^)

I have the Toshiba SD-5109 progressive scan DVD player and it does NOT play CD-R discs.

It should be able to read CD-RW though.

The new not yet released Toshiba SD-9200 is supposed to read cd-r's as well as be adaptable to dvd music discs. Release date is third to fourth quarter of 2000.

Will the 9200 also provide progressive scan? If so, it sounds like a deck to wait for.
