Hi I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as me. I had 4 (didn't have all of them at one time) DVP-CX850D and I took them all back because they all had the same problem. I would watch a dvd then I would hit the stop button on the remote then I would hit the green button on the remote and the machine would goto standby. Then I would leave the machine for about 15 mins or 2 hours. I would hit the green button on the remote or the play button on the remote the machine would go on for a few seconds and go back to standby. Then I would hit the play or green button on the remote then the machine would stay on. I didn't know you had to prime the machine. It didn't happen everytime that I would go to turn it on but at most it would happen two time a day or more. I got them all in Ohio. Store Best Buy first one 50 miles 12/20/99 second 20 miles 01/02/00 third 20 miles 01/04/00 last one at Mentor TV 20 miles 01/04/00. If you have this problem please write me thanks. I have called Sony and they are looking into it.
