Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this player? I just got it and am looking for quirks or things to look out for...perhaps even features I might have overlooked in the manual.

Thanks

As far as I've heard, it's pretty problem free.

Bought my 650 about 2 months ago. Have not had
any problems, nor have I had the time to explore
it extensively - it has more capabilities than I'm using. The 'Disc Exploreer' does seem a little odd, but I haven't even read the section
in the manual on it. Isn't it automatic? When I
go to Disc Explorer on the remote, the list is
empty even when the carousel is full of 5 DVD
movies. Comments, anyone?

I got mine about three months ago and I think that it is awesome. Not all DVD's have info that the Disc Explorer can read but some do including music CD's, things like jacket covers that can be used for "background" instead of the generic Sony background. Keep playing with all of the features, you won't screw anything up and if you do all of the parameters can be reset back to default settings.
