I am considering purchasing Toshiba SD5109. Any comments on whether this is a good choice, or are ther others in this price range that would be a better choice. I want a decent unit for my fairly sophisticated home theatre setup. I don't need a universal remote because I have the rc5000. Any cautions? J&R has for 599, but out of stock.

I have been very happy with my SD-5109. No problems with any media. I was going to upgrade my TV at the same time to progressive inputs but decided to hold off for a bit so I can't comment on the quality of a 480p output. I got mine through Amazon Z-shops for $500.
