I am looking for region and Macrovision workarounds for my CX850D. DVDFree (?) has them already modded, but I dont want to buy a new unit, just mod mine.
Any help? BTW - The Technotronics doesn't kill the VCR protection

I bought a box from Zorrila(?) that was recommended at SMR-Forums.com. It works great on Macorvision removal. Has composite and s-video in and outs. don't know about the region hack. The box cost $79. I'm on holiday right now, but can get all the info when I return if you don't find it.
My son had a school project about speical effects and needed cool footage from stuff like T2 and Matrix, it worked just fine. HTH - Carl
