Hi again: Tried to update my firmware in my Pioneer blueray player, the connection test did fine but it would not download the new firmware. I called Pioneer and was told that the direct download to the player was not "working" at the moment, does anyone know what is up with that? I thought it was cool that the player could, via the eithernet connection to my router, download it's own software. I could download it to my pc and then burn it to disk for the BR player but that is not as cool at all. KDM

Well, if it's Pioneer's fault there's not much you can do except wait for it to start working again, or do it manually. Is it a new or older model?

It is a BDP09. I believe what Pioneer was saying was not that there was a "glitch" with the downloads but that they had shut it down for some unmentioned reason. I know the unit has internet connectivity because "BDLive" works (for whatever that is worth!). Current firmware v.2.46. KDM
