Does anyone know why Lucas/Speilberg have not produced these great films on DVD? I have just seen a commercial for the remastered VHS tapes of the Indiana Jones trilogy, why not DVD?
Thanks,
Sean

Along with the VHS release of Indy there was supposed to be a LaserDisc release -- a slap in DVD users' faces. However, after several delays the LD version was officially canceled. Latest rumors indicate it is being worked on for DVD release early next yeat.

There is no word on E.T. or the Star Wars trilogy. The new SW movie (Phantom Menace) may come out next year.
