I'm looking for a progressive scan DVD player. I'm currently looking at the Toshiba 5109 and 9100. I also want VideoCD and CD-R compatibility. Anyone have other suggestions. Does anyone know where I can buy one already moded? Thanks.

As I recall the other current Toshiba units I've looked at (2109, 3109) are not CD-R compatible - are you sure that these units are?
Best bet in the US is bound to be Pioneer - it's pretty easy to buy multi-region (conventional) Pioneer units in the US for a typically $200 premium. If Toshiba has P units out, Pioneer won't be far behind, and some are bound to be multi-region. But that's just speculation - I haven't heard of any P units other than the Toshiba.
