Hi. I moved to the UK from the US and my DLP projection screen, which must be NTSC, seems incapable to work with a European DVD player loaded with a PAL European DVD (they are all PAL here in the UK). What can I do, given that using another projector/monitor is not an option financially? My projector is a Projectavision Solo2, now a discontinued model, and bankrupt manufacturer, so going that route is not an option. Are there DVD players that can convert a PAL output to NTSC? Any other option for under $100?

Did you lose your first post? Your biggest problem is probably region issues, not PAL. Do a quick search like I mentioned before.

I had the same issues having moved from the UK to the US. Problem was solved with a $30 DVD player which was able to be made multiregion by a few specific keypresses on the remote which were obtained from an easily found website.
Works just fine, although the picture quality is nowhere near as good as my Denon DVD player.

Are YOU sure your PJ doesn't do both?
My PJ does both, and my Denon player is region free. I can't bring myself to use a $30 player on a 20" TV, certainly never going to happen in my theater.

Get a PlayStation 2, get a GameShark, then they have a setting to make the PS2 region free. It might work, my GameShark CD allows me to get rid of regions on my PS2

What you should choose does not end in the here and now, but how much you want to deal with it in the futre |
