Hi there!

I'm gonna purchase a Panasonic DVD-S97EG-S (european version of the DVD-S97S) soon.
Since I live in Germany, but most of my movie collection is region code 1, I need a codefree/auto-code mod for my new player.
I already found out that the device's region code management can be altered through a special IR-Code/Macro, as there are companies (e.g. in the UK) selling specially modified Remote Controls which send a "secret code sequence" to the player, after which it will be auto-code-capable. The remote's memory is erased after used once and then you have to send the RC back to the company, or will be additionally charged.
Now first I don't want to take all the trouble and waiting-time, and second I thought:
If the player can be code-modified just by an RC-code, and since I also own a Philips Pronto NG, I bet the required code sequence is also available somewhere within the depths of the www!
I think the required sequence should be the same for the DVD-S97S and EG-S.
Does anybody have an idea (or even better a LINK) where I might find it?
Thanks a lot!

Look here: [Link: dvdhacks.co.uk]

It is not for your specific player, but may work since it's for the same brand.

Hope that helps.
