Could someone recommend an easy-to-use VHS to DVD external converter that comes with video editing software?
I have been looking at several reviews, and based on them it seems like the Plextor Convert X PX-M402U Real-Time Digital Converter at a price of $159.99 is a good deal.
Thank you all

Maybe take a look at the SONY VRD-VC10. It's a DVD+-RW writer built-in, all you need is a VCR to plug into it, and it'll encode to MPEG2/VOB and burn direct to a DVD+R disc.

You can optionally hook it up to your computer and have the MPEG2 file output to your HD for editing, then you'll be able to burn to DVD-R with your edits and custom menu.

For editing, I don't remember if it comes with software, but I strongly recommend VideoReDo (www.videoredo.com) for mpeg2 editing.

Cheers!
