When I play a purchased DVD on my notebook it is very good quality. If I record a DVD with a Sony recorder or Philips recorder when I play back the is a lot of ghosting.
They play back ok on the recorder.
Anyone got any ideas?

A conflict between the differing types of DVD record/playback formats I would imagine.
