Does anyone know how many players (if any) can be linked together?

I own one and the answer is indeed, zero. However I have 3 DVD mega changers and I have found that it is more advantagious to use a component router and a smart remote. I use the HTM mX3000. it's a slick way to go since you don't have to fiddle around with the internal database for disk selction. It's all done graphically at the remote.

The 985 comes with ability to have three seperate remote channels. You can use three players controlled with one universal remote. You will either need a component router as pointed out above or component inputs for each.

I've been using a Zektor HDS4 HDTV A/V switch for some time now. It has performed flawlessly to date. I use it to switch between 3 Sony DVP-CX985V 400-disc DVD changers and a Samsung SIR-TS160 HD DIRECTV Receiver. Having IR control was essential for me. The Zektor HDS4 gets the job done and with style I might add. -Lowpro
