Hi guys,

I finally figured it out. had I taken the time to read the instructions booklet I would have come to know that when you first initialize the disk even a dvd rw the recorder must first be set to video mode which makes it most compatible with all other dvd players. and since the recorder was set to VR mode which is the most editable mode and least compatible with other players. Like Homer would say D'ho

One more "D-oh!" You can, and should, post follow-ups like this in the same thread, not a new one. This makes it easier for us to know which responses belong to which questions.
