Hello!
I´ve just returned from a trip to China where I bought a Haoda V-55A DVD-player which work perfectly but... Its remote has only chinese signs on it! Any ideas?

I would just turn the DVD player on, pop a disc in, and start hitting buttons to see what they do. You could label them as you go.

Agree with lowpro, but the real problem is how will you understand when the actors speak in Chinese? Also is it region free?

Yes, it is regionfree as most chinese players are. It plays most formats including Mpeg4 (DivX) and HDCD and it changes the front panel color spontaneously all the time... ;-)
I´ve found the menu button and managed to switch it inot english menus, so thats no problem anymore. The films I brought from China has english as main language and subtitles.
