best all around receiver for about 1000 to 1300

I need a great receiver because i can't afford seperates. Which receiver will power a big speaker system and do all the dd and dts and everything else that i will need. I have been looking at Denon 3300 and sony es stuff. Please let me know thanks!!!

I like Denon myself. I have the AVR 3600. Waiting a while to get the new 5700.

harman/kardon has a new dd/dts/hdcd receiver called the AVR 7000. There is a picture in the new "Wired" mag. Looks great. I haven't been able to find out anything online about price or specs, but I would think that it is going ot be competitive with the 3300. No info on h/k's site yet. It does have component video switching.
