I bought a onkyo 5 disk dvd player, i am looking for a good remote that i can use w/ my dvd player. I also have a real old sony reciever w/ no remote that i would like to control but not worried much about that. I just want a good priced remote that will handle an onkyo. Also i will prolly need one that learns becasue i will need the disk skip.

3 things are always mentioned here for 3 different price ranges. What's your pleasure?

1) UEI/Radio Shack remotes $15-60
2) Home Theater Master MX-500 family $100-500
3) Pronto $200-1000

1 is cheap and very programmable with or without the jp1 interface--some models have learning. 2 is the best designed button remote with awesome power and learning--upper remotes are computer programmable. 3 is the best touchscreen remote with learning, almost unlimited memory, computer programming, etc.
