I'm about to look like an idiot.

I just bought a used tv for a hundred bucks. It's an RCA 36" (8 yrs old) with several i/o jacks. I have a JVC DVD player hooked up to another tv (25"). The DVDs play on the AUX channel on this tv.

The problem is that on the 36" tv, there doesn't seem to be an AUX channel. Is there a way to get around this? I'd much rather watch the DVDs on a larger screen.

It seems like a simple problem but I'm stumped. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

On some TVs, the aux input is selected as a channel, and on others, it's selected via a separate switch. Look for a 'line' or 'TV/video' switch or button, on the TV or the remote, or in a menu.

Thanks, Larry.

I discovered (after reading the manual more closely) that the tv should be tuned to channel 00 when there is something plugged into the video jack in order to see what's playing.

The problem is that the tv doesn't accept 00 as a valid channel. Very odd, to say the least.

The previous owner may have set the channels so that 00 is not selectable while surfing. Check the manual on how set/remove that feature.

Must be an RCA, Do as DH said, its in the menu, may say VCR channel, may need to do a autoprogram with the DVD player on.
