First off I have to say that Die Another Day is one of the best Bond films in too long and certainly the best that Pierce Bronsman has done. The story was good, picture was good, and the sound was rocked. So whats my complaint. When you put in the DVD you have to sit through MGMs comercials for the bond collections and sit through the intro to the main menu. Any button you hit on your remote aside from stop gives the "this operation is not functional at this time" C'mon, 3 minutes or so before I could watch this movie. Watching comercials should be an option, after all they make us sit through them in the movie theaters now.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can't bring up the main menu at the theater either.

I've noticed on some DVD's if you press the next or skip button instead of menu, it will let you advance.

Well, all DVDs are like this. You say you can hit stop, that's one of the 3 ways to get around all that crap (with an unmodified player), why not just use it? Hit stop, then hit menu.

That certainly annoys me as well... and it appears that some companies are getting worse, rather than better. I seem to recall one studio that, lately, won't even let you hit STOP during the FBI warnings.

Try stop, chapter up, or menu. I've only come across 1 DVD that none of these worked on.

And some players will override the discs.
