pardon me if i'm a newbie in this field but i have the sony progressive dvd player and a progressive tv. Is there a website or someway to find out if a specific dvd movie is progressive material or not? thaks

There is no difference on the dvd. The equipment is all you need. The player and tv display the info on the disc in a progressive format but the dvds are all recorded in an interlaced format. The dvd player converts that to progressive using 3-2 pulldown.
