Does anyone know how to copy programs recorded with Tivo using a DVD recorder? Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't think that TiVo has the right outputs. That is one reason I have not yet got a TiVo. Still, i'll check back here and see if anyone has ideas.

Uh, Tivo has Svideo and composite video output. Plus audio output. What more do you need? Plug the 2 together, press play on Tivo and record on the DVD-R.

of course! (d'oh) It has no digital output, and i've got myself locked in this loop saying if its not digital there is no point to putting it on DVD.

DVD-Rs can't record digital anyways. Except non-copy-protected like your home movies on Mini-DV.

S-Video connection will be a better choice for copying your video, but you can also use a coax connection from tuner to tuner, where is Larry Fine? I am surprised Larry didn't get involved in this.

The coax is the worst way to transfer video and audio. Unless it is direct from the antenna.

Okay, okay! My DirecTiVo's have the usual RCA jacks for audio and video, as well as S-video, so they should work as long as the DVD recorder has the corresponding inputs. Larry www.fineelectricco.com
